Dietitian vs. nutritionist

Which do you actually need?

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a credentialed, regulated health professional who has completed accredited training, supervised practice and a national exam — and can provide medical nutrition therapy. “Nutritionist” isn’t a protected title in most places. When it matters, you want an RD. Ours is on-site, downtown.

Common questions

Nutrition, answered.

What’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a credentialed, regulated professional who can provide medical nutrition therapy; “nutritionist” is not a protected title in most places. Our resident practitioner is a Registered Dietitian.

Do I need to be a member?

No — the resident RD sees clients who aren’t gym members. Members get seamless, one-roof coordination with their trainer.

Does the RD take insurance?

Coverage varies by plan. We’ll help you check with the resident practice before your first appointment.

Do you help endurance athletes and over-40 muscle goals?

Yes — performance and endurance nutrition, plus healthy-aging and body-composition support, are core focuses.
